About Green Changemakers

Together, we can inspire, innovate, and lead the way toward environmental sustainability

Addressing the Global Challenge of Climate Change

Climate change is one of the most urgent issues facing our planet. Over the decades, efforts from governments, NGOs, citizens, and the private sector have worked together to combat its impacts both locally and globally.

Nonetheless, the numbers are stark: according to the 2019 “Our World in Data Report,” CO2 emissions rose by 23.1 billion tonnes from 1900 to 2000, and by an additional 9.3 billion tonnes between 2000 and 2019. To mitigate these alarming trends, we must fundamentally rethink how we consume, produce, and live.

The role of youth in driving change

Young people are not only the most affected by climate change, but they also hold the key to creating lasting solutions.
For many, the impacts of climate change are deeply personal, as highlighted by the 2021-22 Climate Action Survey by Bath University, where 60% of youth reported being very worried about climate change, with 45% saying it affected their daily lives.

However, the energy, motivation, and creativity of youth also make them powerful environmental stewards, as demonstrated by global movements like FridaysForFuture.

CHMKS intends to

CHMKS aims to

CHMKS works to

Build networks and resources that amplify the impact of youth-led environmental initiatives.

CHMKS believes that

Together, we can turn concern into action and create a global community committed to sustainability. Join us in making a difference for our planet.

Empowering the Next Generation

Young people are today’s primary consumers, and their habits will shape future markets and lifestyles.
To foster sustainable consumption patterns, we must focus on youth-led initiatives and education. Youth-led NGOs are vital in this effort, but they need support to engage and empower young people effectively.
This is where the “Green Changemakers” project comes in—equipping youth workers and trainers with the skills, resources, and tools needed to inspire change.
